Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress. She was best known as Skyler in the AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and she was the recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 & 2014. Other roles she has played comprise Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. She was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in the year 1968, Anna Gunn fell in love with acting in the Preparatory School she attended before her family moved to Ohio in the late 1970's. The theatre studies she pursued were at Northwestern University. A semester was taken at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her journey in Chicago performing in stage roles for many years. Later, she relocated to Hollywood, where she began her acting career in movies and television shows. Anna's debut role was Arden on Down the Shore. She played in 29 episodes. Anna continued to be an actor in number of television movies and shows like Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue up to the end of 1990's, when she was cast in a regular role in the role of Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood in two full seasons. Skyler was Her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Also, she starred in the Deadwood film as well as Sully. Gunn was also in the David Schwimmer directed the film Sex With Strangers. Gunn was in the role of Numbered Days, which is a four-part audio show that premiered in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered around the relationship that Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their relationship is strained and their eventual break up echoes last years of Walter White's life.
